We've all experienced it, news so juicy it's spreading through the neighborhood like a wildfire. New Neighbors. For some reason there is something so exciting about having new blood in the ward. So, my little 8-year-old self decided to ride my super hip Razor scooter to the yellow house diagnol from mine to scope it out. There they were, the new ones. There was a girl my age on the front lawn doing kartwheels as I rode by trickin' it out on my scoots. And this was my first encounter with my long-time friend:
^^^ this picture of us was taken in 7th grade. Some of the best memories, and this is what they consisted of: volatile shoes, purple eyeshadow, fake strip shows, spying on boys, dressing up to scare people, meow, EFY romances, starbucks, movies, msn messenger, fake emails, green eyeliner, checkered belts, hollywood undead, myspace surveys, doll palace, hot smile hot pants & bob, hanging out at the junction, skater shoes, black nail polish, green day, first ipods, hot pink, burgess park, emo, hair swooping over one eye, braces, trucker hats, calls on speakerphone, ordering pizzas to houses, "melissa, melissa, melissa I'M A RETARD!", Rude Girls, prank calls and so much more.
^^^ This is the latest picture of Kelsey Kathleen and I, taken about a month ago. I can't believe how much we've changed, but at the same time I totally can. Her and I both had a lof of growing up to do, granted most grow out of their junior high stage but still. We hung out a lot in Junior High, and once we hit high school we went our seperate ways. But, despite very minuscule fights we remained close in high school. It's so funny how we are so different but so alike. We find humor in the same things, and whenever we tell stories we always use the same voice to imitate people we don't like, it's one of my favorite things. I cannot tell you how much her friendship has meant to me. Don't get me wrong, we have definitely had our fair share of drama. Typical girl drama that is truly unimportant, and we never let that conflict with our friendship for too long. I've watched Kelsey go through so many trials in her life and I've never seen them break her. She is honestly one of the strongest people I know, and I will always look up to her. I still can't believe she's a mom, and Mylee has been the biggest blessing to her and I've seen her grow so much since she's been a part of her life. I hope Kelsey knows how much I love her and Mylee and I'm so excited she's let me into their lives:)
Kelsey Kathleen Jeppesen, you are the best...Pancakes?
